The Science
CogTech Labs' cognitive assessment and enhancement software technology is based on the original works of Josh Reynolds, patented over 20 years ago. Originally called the Cognometer, it was first validated in a published landmark study by Stanford Medical School wherein mental processing speed (reaction time) tests were able to detect very early stages of memory loss in an asymptomatic group carrying a genetic marker of probable Alzheimer's. Standard neuro-psych tests failed to detect any of the early telltale signs.
Further Cognometer studies were conducted by UC Irvine, Scripps and others, who validated its exceptional sensitivity to subtle changes in cognition induced by certain drugs and nutraceuticals.
Subsequent research publications gained the attention of the FDA, who invited Reynolds to present his pioneering works at a major medical conference on Mild Cognitive Impairment. The presentation was entitled, Speed of Processing, the Missing Measure in Early Detection of MCI.
